Twelve months on from the devastating bushfires that swept the country, the Royal Australian Mint has released a colored $2 coin a poignant reminder of the bravery and sacrifice of Australia's firefighters. From our career 'fires' in the city to the thousands of volunteers in the towns and bush, this coin commemorates and honors their dedication and commitment to protecting all Australians.

These rolls have been issued in Royal Australian Mint brown paper with an official holographic sticker and struck with a limited mintage of only 7500 rolls.
